Meatloaf sliders are a crowd-pleaser for sure. I made these with football season in mind. Can you say Super Bowl party food? But these little sandwiches would be welcome at any gathering – even a family dinner. My son in particular loved these meatloaf sliders.
Watch how to make Meatloaf Sliders:
I saw this specific technique for cooking ground beef for sliders HERE and really thought it was so smart! But instead of just a plain cheeseburger slider I wanted to create something a little more unique. Lots of people like meatloaf. That sweet and tangy ketchup sauce served on top of a traditional meatloaf makes a really tasty topping for sliders. Add some fried onions and cheddar cheese and we’ve got some seriously delicious sandwiches.
These meatloaf sliders take practically no time to throw together which is my kind of party food – quick and simple but with a WOW factor. Sliders are pretty standard these days – ham and cheese, meatball, buffalo chicken. But I hadn’t tried a meatloaf slider until now. Put these on your menu for your next gathering.

Meatloaf Sliders
Ingredients
- 1 1/4 pounds ground beef
- 1 package meatloaf seasoning I used McCormick brand
- 2 tablespoons light brown sugar
- 1/3 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup fried onions
- 1 1/2 cups sharp cheddar cheese shredded
- 12 slider buns
- 2 tablespoons butter
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- In a 9x13 baking dish mix together the beef and meatloaf seasoning mix. Lightly press the beef in an even layer in the bottom of the dish.Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
- Slice the slider buns even in half. Use two spatulas to carefully lift the large meatloaf "burger" and place it on the bottom half of the slider buns.
- Stir together the brown sugar, ketchup, mustard and Worcestershire sauce until smooth.
- Spread the sauce on top of the meatloaf. Spread the fried onions on top of the sauce. Spread the shredded cheese on top of the onions. Place the top half of the buns on top of the cheese.
- Place the 12 sliders carefully in a clean 9x13 baking dish.
- Melt the butter and brush evenly over the tops of the buns.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake the sliders for 20 minutes. Slice the sliders apart with a sharp knife. Serve.
