Layered, creamy dips made to cook and serve in the same slow cooker, so they stay hot and ready for the whole party.
Welcome to my series of layered cream cheese dips for the slow cooker! Every dip starts with a creamy cheese layer on the bottom, topped with more layers of flavor, and is cooked and served right in the Crock-Pot. It’s hard to beat a slow cooked dip. They stay warm for the entire event, which makes them perfect for tailgating, game day and holiday gatherings. My taco dip video has over 4 million views, and these dips keep getting requested year after year.
The slow cooker dip series
Crockpot Taco Dip

A cross between classic Ro-tel dip and my hometown’s Skyline chili dip. A cream cheese and Ro-tel layer, then taco beef and cheddar cheese, finished with red onion, fresh tomatoes, cilantro and sour cream. Get the Crockpot Taco Dip recipe
Slow Cooker Pizza Dip
My MVP appetizer during football season. A cream cheese and mozzarella base, spicy Italian sausage in pizza sauce, and crispy pepperoni on top, with cheese that stays gooey and melted. Get the Slow Cooker Pizza Dip recipe
Crock Pot Buffalo Chicken Dip
A requirement for tailgating. A ranch-seasoned cream cheese layer, Buffalo chicken, and cheddar, finished with a drizzle of blue cheese dressing and green onions. Get the Crock Pot Buffalo Chicken Dip recipe
Why make dips in the slow cooker?
- They stay warm. A dip baked in the oven gets cold quickly. A slow cooker keeps it hot and the cheese melted for hours.
- One pot to cook and serve. Layer the dip right in the slow cooker insert, then set it out on the buffet.
- Easy for a crowd. Guests can serve themselves a little or a lot, and you can offer lots of dippers, like chips, crackers, bread and fresh veggies.
