Reverse Sear Steak

Ingredients

  • 4 6 oz filet mignon steaks
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 300 degrees F. 
  • Season the steaks with salt and pepper on both sides. Place in a shallow baking dish.
  • Bake the steaks until desired internal temperature is reached. Check with a digital thermometer to be sure.
  • Remove the steaks from the oven.
  • Melt the butter in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. 
  • Sear the cooked steaks for one minute on each side. 
  • Allow the steaks to rest for a few minutes and serve.
