Father’s Day Gift Ideas

CollageFather’s Day is June 16th this year and my family will be on vacation for almost two weeks leading up to the big day. My husband is getting a pretty decent gift in visiting one of his best college friends (and his lovely family) in Atlanta on our drive down to Florida. Not to mention trips to Harry Potter World, Magic Kingdom and Epcot, and swimming with a dolphin at Sea World’s Discovery Cove. We are so beyond excited for our vacation! You won’t be hearing from me on here while we’re gone, but I’m sure I’ll post some shots of our adventures on my public Instagram account.

Anyway, as with Mother’s Day and end of school teacher gifts, I wanted to share another post to help you with your gifting needs. Other than food, I was never one to make many DIY gifts before Pinterest came along. I knew food blogs were a thing, but I had no idea the amount of creativity out there on the web from the DIY bloggers. Considering how anti-tech I used to be, I’ve come a long way. Although I still don’t get Twitter and doubt I ever will… probably because of the lack of pictures.

So here’s my list of favorites to help make your dad feel like the superhero he is:

These are fun and very versatile {free} printables from Super Mom Moments. Attach them to your dad’s favorite {fill in the blank}. Or, click on the picture of my bourbon bacon brownies to be taken to my “Father’s Day Cookbook” Facebook album for some ideas of what to cook for dad on his special day.

I really love this packaging idea {with step-by-step instructions} from Sew Many Moments. Fill the Home Depot apron with whatever your dad’s favorites happen to be…

Hello Lucky has a high-class collection of {free} labels to help you make your gift look way better than your sibling’s. Clever labels for socks, wine bottles and my personal favorite, beer {or soda}. Bake your dad a batch of these pretzels with Guinness cheddar dip, wrap his favorite brew with these labels, and he’ll love you forever. {Click on the picture of the pretzels to link to my recipe post}

From Design Mom are these rustic {free} printables to help you create a DIY BBQ kit for the dad in your life who loves to grill. Click on the picture links for a dry rub recipe from Knead to Cook and a BBQ sauce recipe from Tasty Kitchen.

And finally because my husband is a bourbon lover, an Apple Pie Infused Bourbon {that takes only 4 days to infuse} complete with {free} bottle label and serving suggestion. This recipe and label come from the folks at Southern Living.
